Girls Learn to Ride

Girls Learn to Ride is a program designed to give females the basic skills and confidence necessary to participate in snowboarding. Mountain Creek's professionals will provide hands-on training emphasizing both safety and skill development, so to ensure your snowboarding experience is the best.

Time: If you do not pre-register, you can register the day of the program.
8:00 am - 9:45 am for morning session
11:00 am - 12:30 pm for afternoon session
Location: Registration will take place in the Square One Board Shop at Vernon base. The shop is located across from the Hex Bar and Restaurant.
Cost: The cost of this program is $59.00 per person. This package includes snowboard and boot rental, a two hour instructional session with a female instructor and one lift ticket.

Program Details:
Time: 10:00 am start time for the morning session.
1:00 pm start time for the afternoon session.
Location: All participants will meet in the learning area 10 minutes prior to the start of the session. The learning area is located to the left of the Cabriolet lift at Vernon base.

Participants:
Open to: This program is open to all girls and women ages 5 and up, who wish to learn how to snowboard.
Limit: Both sessions will be limited to 50 participants. These sessions will then be broken down into smaller groups.

Cost: $59 (US dollars) XE.com Personal Currency Assistant
Please bring a Credit Card, $150 cash deposit OR a check for $150 (check address must match the drivers license) for snowboard / boot rental deposit. The money will be returned to you when you bring back your equipment to Rentals.

Women's "Pretty in Pink" Rail Jam

The Women's Rail Jam, open to both women skiers and snowboarders, will wrap up Mountain Creek's women's weekend. This event is intended to be a progression session where there is an absence of a competitive environment and is driven by the adhesion of female camaraderie. The goal is to create an atmosphere that is easy-going, relaxing and most importantly, encouraging. Additionally, K2 will be sending a number of female riders and skiers from their K2 alliance team to help support women in the sport!

Registration:
Time: 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Location: Registration will take place in the tubing room, which is located to the right of the Human Resource Department.

Cost: This event is free for all participants as long as she has a valid Mountain Creek season pass or lift ticket and a park pass.

Process: All participants must complete a Mountain Creek waiver, a non-inverted aerial waiver, as well as a photo release.

NOTE: All individuals under the age of 18, must have a parent or guardian present to sign their forms, or have the parent or guardian complete the forms prior to arrival by downloading the forms above.
